We're in December and still having daytime highs in the 50's. Lots of areas around us have been hit by winter weather, but we're lucky this year. So I've been getting in a lot of riding, most of it on singletrack. Keeping my fingers crossed that when winter hits that we don't end up paying too badly it!Steve Z (swampboy62)https://www.blogger.com/profile/03594045912519415678noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1099172522048117068.post-38282706136485251762015-11-29T11:37:26.311-05:002015-11-29T11:37:26.311-05:00Nice write up Steve! I temporarily lost the link to your blog because I always would connect through Tim-Joe's blog and those links are not there anymore.
You are a true cyclist keeping up the nice rides as winter sets in. I feel your pain on the night time animal awareness. When I ride home after work and basketball practice, it is dark. There is one stretch of road that has no houses or street lights and it is so dark. There is always deer and elk around on this road because it is next to the golf course and that is winter grazing areas for them. The deer always skitter away but the elk are not surprised by my lights and just stand and watch. Normally OK except those moonless nights and it is so dark and then .....boom , there they are right in front of you!! We have had snow this last two weeks and I have tried to ride the fat bike. Seeing all these other guys getting along well in the winter, but, I must not get it because it is still slippery for me. It has been a disappointment for me so far.
Keep those hands and toes warm!! Your Colorado cycling friend, JimJim Bangshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11618333090634257257noreply@blogger.com
